Walking in Space and Squares

Faith Walker Walking in Space and Squares as Open Sky Creations
Connects with R-Squared Comicz and God Space, two
movers  and shakers in the social network arena. Saturday
morning, March 24th, 2012 the interview hit the web.
C-3 Interview #44: Clint D. Johnson | R-Squared Comicz .
http://www.rsquaredcomicz.com/2012/03/24/c-3-interview-44-clint-d-johnson/
In interview with Christian comic creator Clint Johnson, creator of
Faith Walker and one of the founders of Open Sky Creations.

Picture
This was Clint D. Johnson's first interview in nearly two years.
He was excited to give a fresh look on his journey. Just for the
Record Justin Martin of  R-Squared “The Intersection of faith and cool comics“and creator/writer of Lightweightz is one of the most genuine young brothers on the Christian Comic scene today. In our mind he is one of the representatives of this new generation of Christian content
creators capable of taking it to the next level. We are praying and believing that God will bless his endeavors. The  conversations on the
interview and off the written page and away from the mic were pretty encouraging. After the interview an urge to create was in the air like the sweet scent of  fresh fruit. Enough about the interview just click above and check it out.

When the blessings flow they tend to flow like a river. In that same weekend God Space.us
decided to place a Faith Walker webcomic banner on thier Social Net work.  OSC was honored
by gracing the path of Minister Gerard Nealy. Nealy is the Founder of God Space. “Uniting Christians
Around The world”. Godspace.us GS is a social network that caters to a Christ- centered audience of
close to 4000 members and growing.

Picture
Nealy and Johnson hit it off by discussing the things of God, family, leadership, technology, creativity and vision.  In a very gracious manner God Space strategicly placed a Faith Walker banner on its home page to assist in spreading the Faith Walker superhero comic character experience to it members. Who knows what’s next? Wow. Faith meets technology. Take a moment to check out God Space and place your membership there. Can you say wow just one time? We serve not only a creative God but a God of communication as well.

Thanks.
See ya in the sky

Creative compass.

This month has been a real press. March is a month splashing with birthdays, funerals, engagements and deadlines.  I had made a declaration to stay on track this year. Well here it is the third month and focus is more than a notion, just like "just do it "is more than a slogan. To get where we want to go it takes effort, determination and focus. I don't support the concept that everything that can go wrong will go wrong no, not at all. I do believe that test, trials and detours come along on our way to the prize. We need our compass set and in hand. It clarifies the direction we take both spiritual and natural. We can't help the weather or the myriad of issues around us, however with our compass we are responsible to keep moving ahead. A compass assists in establishing a clear direction as we navigate through life's process. Clarity is key, it is written that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. The balance of our days will require effort, determination and focus.

Our faith paints a picture that we can see what others may not. Faith is that evidence that makes the blurry extremely clear. Faith is our compass or internal GPS. It’s like being an artist. One has an image in his or her head that is theirs alone.  Gradually the artist uses his or her tools to 'build'' a visual. A visual that takes form as faith is put into action. Upon formulation it is no longer the faith to believe it is now the manifestation of the work applied through faith. The
creative compass energized by faith and helps gets us along on our journey. Below are manifestations of faith in stages. The illustration is from the webcomic
Faith Walker
"deliver Us From Evil"
. The image begins as a thought. A visual is formed and manifest through pencil to ink to color. Much like our lifes journey we will need faith and focus to bring the desired manifestation.

Until next time, be blessed.

Post Title.

Bad To The Ba'al

Inspired by and in support of The Comic Creators for Freedom this story takes
shape. Faith Walker and Virtuous prepare as the vile villians enter the picture.
With Human Trafficking  being such touchy subject I was careful not to make
light of the real victims/survivors while creating antagonists that would not
warrent an "R" rating. Meet Ba'al and Chain.

Picture
Picture
The original take on these two has always been a
duo of dastardly deeds and disturbing disturbance.

Way back in the day (2006) when the light bulb
first went off, The were called Thick and Thin "The sin Twins" and appear in a
pilot youth magazine called CVQ from Christian Comic Book creators called Clear
Vision Communications.  As Character development goes things often change about
your subject. I wanted a certain mm-ff when they showed up. So In 2011 when the hard choice was made to remix the original story and revamp the baddies. Ba'al
meaning demon or master in some circle fit the psychology of the story.  It also
bridges or opens the door for a Faith Walker  type to get involved fusing the
natural action with a spiritual foundation. What about Chain? Chain clearly illustrates the the concept of being constricted/bound/held captive. She really balances the new twist on an old term.Funny, I did not know until later that“ball and chain” is a colloquialism for marriage. Wow. So on that level there is a unity implication to the antagonists. When you get a chance visit the strip. check out our efforts and lets pray for the real victims of this horrific injustice.

The Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King ,Jr.

As we all press ahead allow me  to give a shout out to BLACK HISTORY MONTH. This is when America sets her calendar to acknowlege the journey and achievemants of the sons and daughters of Africa. We as a people have done a lot here. Some real milestones. As a tribute I'm posting a series called The Inspiration Illustrated. This first effort is this rendering of the late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Picture

This sketch was originally printed black and white in Holoman's Black Achievers way babk in the early 90s. Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African American civil rights movement. He is best known for being an iconic figure in the advancement of civil rights in the United States and around the world, using nonviolent methods following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. King is often presented as a heroic leader in the history of modern American liberalism.

His achievments were numrous and impactful. A Baptist minister, King became a civil rights activist early in his career.[4] He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1957, serving as its first president. King's efforts led to the 1963 March on Washington, where King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech. There, he expanded American values to include the vision of a color blind society, and established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in
American history.

In 1964, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for
his work to end racial segregation and racial discrimination through civil
disobedience and other nonviolent means. By the time of his death in 1968, he had refocused his efforts on ending poverty and stopping the Vietnam War. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and Congressional Gold Medal in 2004; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was established as a U.S. federal holiday in 1986.

First Post!

Virtuous Joins The Fight Against Human Trafficking
Picture

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can
change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

-Margaret Mead

Wednesday, January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. To
participate, we formed the Comic Creators for Freedom– a group of over 100 comic
book creators who volunteered our artistic talents to raise money and awareness
for this cause. You may not know it, but there are currently 27 million enslaved
people worldwide- more than double the number of enslaved Africans during the
trans-Atlantic slave trade. UNICEF estimates that 1.2 million children every
year are sold into slavery, most of it sexual. The US Department of Justice
estimates 16,000 victims of human trafficking are brought into the United States
every year. Unlike slavery in the past, what is happening today is happening in
secret. It won’t end until awareness is raised, and people like you and me take
a stand
.
Picture
So here’s what we did: each creator contributed an original drawing of one of
our own female characters, and combined them into a single wallpaper image!
The wallpaper features characters from all over the web, including Girls with
Slingshots, The Dreamland Chronicles,Kukuburi, Earthsong Saga, Looking for Group,
Love and Capes, The Dreamer, and tons more! Donate today to download this unique,
once-in-a-lifetime wallpaper.

The Donations Drive will last for two weeks, from Monday January 9th – 20th.
All proceeds will be split evenly between Love 146 and Gracehaven House- two
organizations working on rehabilitation of victims and prevention of this crime.
